In Jesus Christ

This powerful message challenges us to shift our understanding from the physical to the spiritual, particularly regarding how we approach God. Drawing from Jesus' conversation with the Samaritan woman in John 4:21-23, we discover that worship is no longer confined to buildings, geographical locations, or religious rituals. When the Babylonians destroyed the temple in 586 B.C., it seemed like catastrophe, yet Jesus declared something revolutionary: He Himself is the new temple. This means our access to God isn't dependent on where we are or what religious performance we can muster. Instead, through Christ's work on the cross, we have boldness and confidence to approach the Father. The message explores the profound reality of grace—not human graciousness between sinners, but God's perfect grace that satisfies His own justice. How can a holy God forgive unholy people without compromising His character? The answer is found at the cross, where Jesus became our mediator, our substitute, receiving the punishment we deserved. This isn't about us becoming good enough; it's about accepting what Christ has already accomplished. We can be guilt-free not through our efforts, but through His finished work. The cross reveals God's justice, holiness, mercy, and wisdom all working together to solve an impossible dilemma. As we approach the celebration of Easter, we're reminded that our worship, our access, and our acceptance before God all rest on one foundation: Jesus Christ and Him crucified.
