INFLUENCE
This powerful message challenges us to understand our role as influencers in a world desperately needing the light of Christ. Building on recent teachings about faith that moves—like Peter casting his net at Jesus' word and the woman with the issue of blood reaching out to touch His garment—we're called to recognize that real faith requires action. The core question becomes: how do we become positive influencers for righteousness in our communities? The answer lies in understanding that influence differs from power or authority. While power demands change, influence inspires it through love and example. We're reminded of Matthew 5:44, where Jesus commands us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us—a supernatural response only possible through deep relationship with God. This isn't passive Christianity; it's active engagement wearing our faith visibly, praying for city leaders by name, and sharpening one another like iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17). The call is clear: we don't need to be pulpit preachers or street evangelists. We simply need to say, 'Lord, here I am. I am willing.' Our cities need Jesus, and we are His ambassadors, sent to turn people from darkness to light, from the power of Satan to God (Acts 26:18). The challenge is concrete—know your city officials, pray for them specifically, and let your light shine in everyday interactions.
