Bread for Life

This powerful message invites us to consider one of the most universal elements of human existence: bread. Found in every culture and every nation, bread sustains physical life, but Scripture points us to something far greater. Through Isaiah 55 and John 6, we discover that Jesus identifies Himself as the Bread of Life, the spiritual sustenance our souls desperately need. Just as bread is a staple that transcends economic status, geography, and culture, Christ is universally available to all who hunger for truth and life. The message beautifully unpacks the process bread undergoes: wheat must be planted, cut down, winnowed, ground into flour, and baked in fire before it can nourish us. Similarly, Jesus had to endure suffering, crucifixion, and death before rising again to become our source of eternal life. This parallel challenges us to embrace our own processes, understanding that God works through our difficulties to distribute His presence through us to a hungry world. The invitation is clear: stop fighting, stop striving in our own strength, and simply receive the Bread of Life who promises never to leave us nor forsake us.
