What does it truly mean to take up our cross and follow Jesus, not just in the comfortable moments, but with our whole lives and for our whole lives? That question sits at the heart of what we explore in this message. Drawing from Mark 8:34, where Jesus calls his followers to deny themselves and lose their lives for the sake of the gospel, we are invited to examine how that radical call plays out in the everyday, unglamorous work of faithful obedience. We see it in a young woman who quietly led a Bible study week after week, unsure if she was making any difference, only to watch four of her students stand up and recommit their lives to Jesus. We see it in a man who keeps returning to Jesus even in the middle of his struggles, and in a community of college students who pushed tables together at lunch and became a visible witness of belonging on their campus. These are not dramatic mountaintop moments. They are the fruit of small, consistent acts of faithfulness. The message challenges us to ask where in our own lives we might be holding back, and what it would look like to surrender those places fully to God.
